What is the Facilitated Learning Service?
Facilitated Learning at AUT To Be Taught places your child at the center of their educational experience. Rather than simply delivering lessons, our staff serve as Learning Coaches — guiding exploration, helping your child stay on track with their homeschool or virtual curriculum, supporting assignments, and offering enriching, hands-on activities designed to foster independence, curiosity, and confidence.

Is it a full curriculum?
No. We do not provide a full, pre-set curriculum. Parents select their own homeschool, virtual, or home-based program, and we supplement and support that program with coaching, enrichment, and tutoring during childcare hours.

Is tutoring included?
Yes, limited tutoring support is included with the Facilitated Learning Service during childcare hours. Our staff can help your child with specific homework questions, review key skills, and reinforce concepts they’re learning at home.

How is this different from the Educational Consulting Service?
The Facilitated Learning Service is a direct support service provided to your child as part of childcare enrollment.
The Educational Consulting Service is a separate service designed for parents, teachers, and organizations, helping them choose, plan, and improve educational programs for their children or students. Educational Consulting is about strategy and planning, while Facilitated Learning is about day-to-day support.

Do I have to use the Facilitated Learning Service?
No — the service is automatically included, but optional. If you prefer that your child not participate in the educational activities, coaching, or tutoring during childcare hours, you may opt out by completing the opt-out section on the enrollment form.
